Protecting your personal data is important to us. Below we explain which data we process, for what purpose and on what legal basis.

Collection and processing of data
We process personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functioning website and our content, or when you provide data to us voluntarily (e.g. via the contact form). The legal basis is in particular Art. 6(1) GDPR.
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with the provider. When the website is accessed, server log files are automatically recorded (including IP address, date and time, the file requested, and browser and system information). These are necessary for delivering and securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Hostinger in turn uses sub-processors, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Cloudflare for operating the servers, as well as MailChannels and Proofpoint for sending email, which is also how messages from the contact form are delivered. Where personal data is transferred to countries outside the EU and the EEA, Hostinger relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914). The current list of sub-processors is set out in Appendix 3 of the data processing addendum at hostinger.com/legal/dpa.
Contact form and email
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the information you provide (name, email address, company and industry if given, and your message) solely to handle your enquiry. The data is sent by email to our mailbox and stored on Hostinger's hosting and email system. The service providers Hostinger uses for this, including those outside the EU, are listed in the section 'Hosting and server log files'. Apart from this, we do not pass the data on to third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. We store the data until the purpose of processing no longer applies, unless statutory retention obligations exist.
Cookies and analytics
Our website does not use tracking, analytics or marketing cookies. Only a strictly necessary cookie that stores your language selection may be set. We do not carry out any web analytics or behavioural tracking.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption, recognisable by https:// in your browser's address bar. This prevents third parties from reading the data you transmit to us.
Your rights
At any time, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), the rights to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to the processing (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, contact info@topweb-digital.com.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
